Entrance Ferry Point Park

Entrance Ferry Point ParkThis post is more a Walk with Steve than a Drive, since these are all photos of my walk through Ferry Point Park in Queen Anne’s County earlier this week. Ferry Point Park, 41 acres of tidal and non-tidal wetlands, is accessible from the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center. The scenic views are fantastic. The park is rich in wildlife. Depending of the time of the year you can see herons, ospreys, eagles, ducks, geese, swans, turtles, bullfrogs, and deer. On one visit I even saw a snake swimming in the water. Ferry Point Park has approximately (1) mile of hiker / biker trails, sitting benches, and interpretive signage.

This is a favorite location of mine, and I’ll probably post a few more times of my walks at Ferry Point Park this year.

About Drives With Steve

Nearly three years ago I began doing a series of posts I called “Drives with Steve” on my photography Website, SGAtkinson.com. The idea was to take a drive from my home in Chestertown to an randomly selected location and take photographs along the way.

This eventually turned into the “Point of Interest” Series. Along the way I’ve captured a pretty wide range of photos that I could put into the Photo Book that I am currently producing.

This year I am planning to do more “Drives” and post them here for your viewing pleasure. Check back each Sunday to see a reposting of one of my previous “Drives” or a new one.

These photographs are available as a print. Three sizes are available. 8×10 (with 11×14 Matt) at $25, 11×14 at $50 or 13×19 at $75. Please send an email to photos@shoretobefun.com if you are interested in purchasing.
