Rock Hall is a small waterfront town right on the Chesapeake Bay. Founded in 1707 the town has been an important part of the historical fabric of the Eastern Shore. Their Welcome sign is ‘Nice people live here!’ Watermen and their families have worked the Chesapeake Bay for generations

The beach is a wonderful place for those living and visiting the town to enjoy. It’s also a wonderful location to see a wonderful sunset as the sun sets on the Chesapeake Bay.

Each year for the past 15 the town host a Pirates weekend on the 2nd weekend in August, although the 13th year was Lost at Sea.

Part of the Weekend includes a Dinghy and Poker Run with one of the stops being at the town’s bulkhead.

Watching the Dinghy’s having fun during Pirates Weekend through the Oysterman Memorial.

The town loves their Elementary School. This year during the Pirates Weekend the school held a Fundraiser. One of the participants willing to be dunk was the school’s former Principal, she is now the Principal at the County’s High School. The Pirates helped to draw the crowd to the Dunking Booth

As part of the events on Sunday, the Rock Hall elementary School Pint Sized Pirates Singers performed for the crowd.
Rock is a beautiful small town on the Chesapeake Bay. One can dock at one of our marinas or stay on land to enjoy live music and dine on local oysters, crabs and rockfish, go sailing, hunting, fishing, biking or hiking. The best part you can learn about the town’s Eastern Shore heritage.
