A partnership between Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Maryland Historical Trust brought a new Roadside Historical Marker to Talbot County near Cordova. The marker honors significant location in the life of Frederick Douglass. The marker was unveiled on February 20, 2025, the anniversary of his death, and is located at the intersection of Tappers Corner Road and Lewiston Road.
